Ho. Lee. Crap. Went to the Microsoft Store to buy a HP Stream 7 for my mom (web browsing, email, photo browsing, skype). $100 for full Windows 8.1 with bluetooth a miricast, plus expandable storage. It has awesome reviews everywhere too. Easily the best budget tablet out there right now. So, we go into the MS store, and they sell us the Stream 8 for $130. Its listed everywhere right now at $180. Same hardware as the 7, plus it comes with 4g, and free 200mb per month for the life of the device from t-mo. Plus one year of office 365. For $130. I'm very happy.

Windows 8 Pro tablets are fucking amazing. I love my Surface Pro so much. I can do the fuck I want, unlike an iPad.

I went to my local Microsoft Store and didn't see any Stream 8s (though I was looking at the Band and 7, and mentally wrote off the 8). Does it get any hardware improvements over the 7 other than screen size? Also, we found out the MicroSD card reader in the back recognizes 128GB cards, so for well under $200 it's got 160GB of storage (though 14GB goes to Windows itself).

200MB/mo for the life of the device, no fee? Shit! That's not a ton, but that's plenty to use in a pinch! Going to run up to my local MS store tomorrow and check this out.
